James Cameron Sudah Memiliki Seknario Untuk 'Avatar 5' Tapi Hanya Ingin Membuat 3 Sekuel Saja.

Komposer James Horner mengungkapkan bahwa James Cameron saat ini memiliki skrip untuk empat sekuel Avatar, namun sutradara mencoba untuk menyingkat menjadi tiga film saja.

Rencana sutradara James Cameron untuk membuat tiga sekuel berturut-turut untuk Avatar begitu ambisius. Avatar 2 kini dijadwalkan untuk rilis di bioskop pada bulan Desember 2017, diikuti oleh Avatar 3 tahun 2018 dan Avatar 4 di 2019. Sekarang kita memiliki kabar terbaru mengapa penundaan ini terjadi, komposer James Horner mengungkapkan bahwa penuliscsang sutradara sebenarnya memiliki skrip avatar dengan empat sekuel dan sekarang ia berusaha untuk menyingkatnya menjadi tiga bagian saja.

"Right now has four sequels, script wise. And he's trying to make it into three. And that is where, I think, his effort is going right now. To keep it to three sequels. Because he's got so much going on how do you keep it from expanding into a fifth movie, total. And he'll get that sorted out."

Sang Komposer juga mengungkapkan cerita untuk Avatar 2, yang telah dikabarkan sebelumnya, sebagian cerita avatar ke 2 ini akan berada di bawah laut.

"I don't know what 's vision will be for how he might portray the various places that are in Avatar 2. A lot of it will take place underwater, which is a completely different environment. I've seen some of his stuff, and it's stunning. All I can say is you've never seen that before, and you know, just from 's previous work, how much he's stretching himself, to make something he's never done before. That is what he's doing. He's always pushing the envelope, and he's always expecting everybody who works for him, to do the same thing."

Direktur juga meminta bantuan beberapa penulis baru untuk bekerja untuk skrip sekuel tersebut. seperti Rick Jaffa dan Amanda silver (Rise of Planet of the Apes)akan  menulis Avatar 2, dengan Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds) akan bekerja untuk Avatar 3 dan Shane Salerno menulis Avatar 4.

Produksi diperkirakan akan dimulai akhir tahun ini, dengan ketiga film diharapkan akan syuting secara back-to-back.
