Rowling Menyelesaikan Skenario Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" akan mengisahkan tentang perjalanan hidup Newt Scamander, penulis "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" yang menjadi salah satu buku pelajaran di Sekolah Hogwarts. 70 Tahun sebelum peristiwa-peristiwa dalam cerita 'Harry Potter' terjadi.

Newt Scamander adalah seorang magizoologist (orang yang mempelajari makhluk ajaib). Cerita pertama film akan dimulai saat Newt Scamander berada di New York, AS.

Para pemeran untuk film ini belum ditentukan. Proyek ini adalah debut J.K. Rowling sebagai penulis skenario film. Disutradarai David Yates dan diproduksi Warner Bros. Dibuat trilogi dengan tanggal rilis : 

Film pertama : 18 November 2016
Kedua : 16 November 2018
Ketiga : 20 November 2020
